How to Resize Your First image using IrfanView.

Step 1. Click IrfanView to open the program.. window opens up as shown.


Step 2. (a) Click file to import images from your desktop by ⇒ clicking file ⇒ then click open ⇒ File name from your desktop ⇒ and then select/click the image….or……..

⇒ (b) You can also click and drag the image inside the editor and let it go to get in there.

Step 3. When you have place your image inside the editor,Click image ⇒ then click Resize and Resample….More instruction watch this ⇒ video:


Step 4. When you click on the resize/Resemble directory, a page pops up as below.We measure things in kilogram, meter, liter and second etc…but the computer measures or calculates in Pixel(px) as it is below.Therefore you will have to resize in pixels as shown.


Resize the image to suit specific programs such as your facebook,twitter,wordpress etc…for example for a Twitter Feed the best you can go for when reducing your camera images is in between 300 to 600 pixel or depends on how good you want your image to look.When you finish reducing the pixel size,click Ok and save it in you desktop.And name your image if you have too many to avoid spending time going through all your files and images to save time.
